Engineering design
The construction of the module is a fabricated frame made of special joist webs. In the main frame and frame members there are corner fittings for crane lifting and transportation of the module.
The cladding of the module is made of shaped sheet C-21 1,5 mm thickness which is welded on to the skeleton frame by the solid weld. Interior paneling is made of zinc-coated shaped sheet C-8 0,55 mm thickness, which is fixed by bolt screws. Inside the paneling there are heat insulating slabs 50 or 100 mm thickness.
Floor covering is made of corrugated iron 4 mm, the bottom of the module is covered by iron sheet 1,5 mm. The floor is winterized by heat insulating slabs of 150 mm.
For hermetic encapsulation of external connection cables in the side wall of the module cable sealing and gaskets are mounted.
Inside the module there are diesel-generator unit mounted on the frame, diesel-electrical plant control panels, auxiliary automation panels, distribution cabinet, accumulator batteries, fuel and lubricants supply tank equipped with level sensors to provide the pumping of the fuel from fuel storage tank to fuel supply tank. There is a possibility of working fuel drain and dumping fuel system.
The module is equipped with automatic system of operation support (heating, ventilation, fire alarm, automatic fire-control unit, working and standby lighting) that provides all necessary climatic conditions for reliable operation of the diesel-generator unit at the temperature from -60 up to 40
oС.
The heating is provided by electric convector heaters.
Combined extract and input ventilation is provided in
DESK Tundra. System of ventilation of the container's internal space, diesel-generator unit's cooling is composed of automated shutters UAV (unified air valve), auxiliary automation cabinet, temperature sensors. Outside the container ventilators for protection purpose are covered by metallic by hinged cases. Air inlet shutter on demand of the consumer is equipped by electric ventilator.
Unified air valves are intended for the flow control of the supply recirculated or exhaust air in the systems of ventilation and conditioning as well as for sealing of the internal volume of the ventilation networks where the operating pressure doesn't exceed 1500 PASCAL's, air permit in closed position at the maximum pressure fall is not more than 5%. Profiled rubber seals fastened in the places of blades connection considerably raise hermiticity factor in this unit and enable to exclude the possibility of horizontal air flow leaking.
The valves have fixed size spectrum of net sections designed considering the compliance to the sections size spectrum of the metallic air pipes mentioned in the appendix 21 SNiP 2.04.0591. Broad range of the materials can be used for the valve production provides the possibility of wide choice in the control accuracy of the air consumption. Both manual and electric drive can be used (all range of Belimo drives can be used).
At the request of the customer DESK Tundra can be equipped with the forced container's electrical ventilation unit when the diesel-electrical unit is switched off.
Exhaust gas extraction provided by the standard exhaust system and then to the external exhaust pipe. Pipeline is fitted with complete critical silencer, decreasing the noise level by 35 dB. For compensation of the heat-stretches during the heating at the vertical part of the exhaust pipeline compensator is placed.
For auxiliary supply Auxiliary automation cabinet is provided that supplies from the circuit or accumulator battery. Auxiliary automation cabinet supplies energy to pumps, valves, electrical convectors, lighting.
DESK Tundra is equipped with the system of main and standby lighting (4 lamps 220 V; 4 lamps 24 V). Switching between the modes is made automatically. Electrical lighting provides illumination inside the container at least 150 lux. Lighting general control is provided by the local lighting desk where outlets 24V and 220 V 50 Hertz for portable lights and electrical devices power supply are mounted. Security and fire alarm loops are connected to control and indicating equipment that enables to signal separately security and fire alarms to the remote control. DESK Tundra is equipped with powder fire extinguisher. On demand of the customer it is possible to install the fire control unit.
The floor of the container welded from steel checkered sheet provides grounding. All metallic noncurrent-carrying parts of the equipment that can be alive are welded or screwed on to the floor.
DESK Tundra has two stages for connection to outer grounding mat that are marked like «Grounding». After installation of the DESK Tundra external cables should be connected and it should be connected to the external grounding circuit.
The calculation of the grounding device is performed for particular project with particular conditions.
Rated parameters of the outdoor environment climatic factors when operating KTPK Taiga according to GOST 15543.1 and GOST 15150:

Transportation and storing
DESK Tundra is delivered to destination completely packaged.
Each
DESK Tundra module is equipped with fittings for lifting, loading and unloading of the module by crane.
Storage ambient temperature for the conservated KTPK Taiga is from 40 (-60)
oС up to +4
oС.
Mounting
DESK Tundra construction provides its mounting on the ready basement ground. There are 3 main variants of basements:
- Ferroconcrete poles;
- Concrete box units.
Outside surface of the basement should be covered with water stop like bitumastic, silicone paint and such like. The depth of foundation is determined in both variants by the definite project. At the request of the customer or design engineering firm other constructions of basements are possible.
Lifting and moving of the
DESK Tundra are carried out by crane through strapping hooks and corner fittings in two ways:
- using cross-beams with slings at the tips;
- using long slings.
Operation safety
Power station
DESK Tundra meets the requirements of National Electric Safety Code, Rules for Technical Operation of Electricity Generating Plants, requirements of GOST 12.2.007.0-75 and norms of fire safety NPB110-03. The construction of the
DESK Tundra components provides service personnel safety from electric shock according to GOST 12.1.019-79, rotary and moving parts injury and burns from high temperature heated parts. Maximum permissible value of specific weight-average of pollutant emissions with diesel discharge gases according to GOST Р 51249-99, at most: nitric oxide 10 g/kilowatt-hour; carbonic oxide 3 g/kilowatt-hour; hydrocarbon 1 g/kilowatt-hour. Discharge gases exhaust opacity according to GOST Р 51250-99.
